The Williams Arizona CW group has disbanded. They are selling off all of those stupid costumes and the head guy is leaving town. Maybe they are ready for some real living history out there now.

Thank You Marc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For little Violette, that is HER uniform! I did not supply her with it and she has no parents in reenacting. She is my pride and joy. Not related either. I may have helped just a wee bitwith her kit. She is waiting to grow out a bit before the coat. In my friends and others defence...it was 100 degrees or so. That's why I wear the staw hat in the one photo. Not hardcore by any means but damned fun just the same. Thanx again for the feedback....Tot Zeins! Trooper "G"

Well, not your typical hardcore re-enactment event now, is it?
Compliments Gary, you're the only Confederate that seems to dress properly (i.e. with a jacket, not walking around in a vest or -the horror!- only a shirt.

I can't post the photo but there is one image of the motorcycle within the photos if you were to go to http://picasaweb.google.com/JansenAndStacey/VerdeRiverCivilWarReena.... If you get into the photos there are some videos that are on youtube of the action. Behold the gargantuan legions of Arizona Reenacting! In the photos I am the one called Trooper standing with my Whitworth rifle next to Violette who was my spotter. I'm rarely doing an Infantry portrayal but now you can put a face to the name since I don't have any photo posted on this site. Enjoy and let us know what you think! Trooper

I've seen some things like that - a group I know of runs an 'armoury' (I use the word loosely) at events. There, right in the middle of the LH camp they have a generator hooked up to a van... No, they don't see the problem with this.

Photographed by myself in the Allied camp at Waterloo...The Prussians watching Germany VS. Serbia and the barman advertising to the English re-enactors that England VS. Algeria will be at 20h. (sight)

This last weekend we had a guy pull up on his bright red motorcycle and leave it in the Confederate Camp for the battle so that when we returned there it sat. Bright red ..of all colours. It was still a fun gig and I was there for some kids who want to get into reenacting so I had fun no matter what. Can't send a picture because it was sent privately and not posted anywhere that I know of. We had some guys put up their modern dome tent last year and so this year there were 2. If it wasn't for those kids I would have quit this 2 years ago!!!

As I said before... I don't mind if it's not completely authentic, I just have a problem with people who f**k up on purpose. If they also claim to "honour the fallen", I'll go berserk.

Mind you: I'll claim temporary insanity and I bet the jury will find me not guilty after seeing defense exhibit A: the pictures on the website.
"Yes, we fully understand the defendant was under a lot of mental strain..."
