I have some pictures of late medieval german knives on here,

but they are mostly from My Armory discusions. I would look on there. I have not looked intently at early medieval knives.

We had a get together on Saturday with a few of us. Drank some mead and ate some Che burgers. Talked about what we would like to do. Mostly fight and do weapons related things along the lines of what we do at our pirate events. We do several senarioed fights a day with fencing in between. We figure we can shoot bows and throw spears and axes. We also talked about gearing up for hastings coming up in a few weeks at Kings landing, MD. We talked alot about using the new latex weapons that look pretty good so we could do more combat, instead of fake steel fighting.

Was watching some show on beowulf last night and they showed a place in vendal land that was the sight of a huge mead hall. They flashed some pictures of artifacts found there. One of them was a very eye shaped piece of a helmet. It looked like one of those 12/13 century russian helmets, pretty cool.

Thanks! Since I've been taking this training class I haven't had a chance to hit the archaeology websites.
