"You can get one from Germany via e-bay for about half that but without poles or pegs. I don't know how easy or difficult you would find it to make the poles and pegs yourself and whether this would still make it work out cheaper overall.…"

Thanks for the info Mark, appreciated. I'll have a look `n` see if I can get hold of a telephone number for the guy. It may work out cheaper than getting one from the states, saves on a lot of money! again, many thanks. Dunk

Hi Mark, hi Lochinvar...

Do you mean this book:
http://www.mindenertageblatt.de/mt-shop/product_info.php?info=p136_Die-Schlacht-bei-Minden.html&XTCsid=15baab7ed8b65fb565d246ad87591a1c

At the moment it is available only in german, but for those who understand
the lenguage it's very interesting.

So it descripes the situation for the Civilians right before and after the Battle.

Did you know, that the father of Marquis de Lafayette died in the Battle of Minden? He served in the 2nd Battalion of the Grenadiers de France and was killed by a Cannonball. Delete Comment

Hi Mark, I became rather despondent after Osprey's response, and haven't followed it up. There is a new book out in German, which my children have ordered for me.
I fear that I've rather missed the boat for publishing before 1 Aug. It may become a longer-term project.
Regards, Ewan.

Hi Mark,

I do hope to do some 18th next year, it all depends upon the events listing for Napoleonic. Once I know both schedules, then I will be able to make a decision as to which events I attend.

Cheers

Andy
