Yes, it has been boring not being out in this weather, let alone the Jubilee Flotilla!

The reason I was curious was because we are in the process of organizing a group here in Plymouth. We have two Montague Whalers which we are currently working on. The first one had a mishap two years ago at a pirate event and is currently being refitted! The second one needs some badly needed restoration and is having to take a back seat for now.

Have you heard about the Napoleonic Maritime Festival in Jersey, that is being planned for next year? It is being organized by the Marins De La Garde, based in St Malo. Would be nice to secure HMS Pickle for it!

Just remaking my 95th Pelisse, but I'm after some pictures of the cavalry version which they copied the style.
Do you have any photo's of an original or good reproduction I could see, mainly interested in the areas such as collar/ cuffs/ inside so I can see its construction?

All the best

hi i could not make the sunday as it was fathers day so i did stuff with the kids .avoncroft is a nice place the event was a bit quiet but i find small events are on a sat as people go shopping kids clubs and work had ten jerries and about twelve brit airborne and a jeep nice pyros the battle was supposed to last 15 min but we got carried away as you do i used 6 sten mags and two pistol mags up and then took a hit from a sniper i think we won as i nearly fell asleep as i lay dead the jerries were dug in behind a bunch of trees and bush so we would have been wiped out in reality but the organiser was brit so i think we won .nice camp set up by groups involved and the 40s singer and george formby guy was good needed more reenactors but was a good little show .did you do anything over the weekend
