Blog Entry 1: Military Historical Re-enactment as A Significant Way of Life

This is my first time writing a blog on LHW. Any fellow re-enactors who read it are welcome to express their views or ask about it. So here goes (with my fingers crossed :)):

In this age, military historical re-enactment is imperative for me. This form of martial activity provides a means of escapade from the pressure, troubles and negativity of the contemporary world for me when I actively participate in it with enthusiasm and a commitment to historical accuracy. I break away from the ordinary and spice up my life with any activities, big or small, that pertain to living history/re-enactment. The art of re-enacting has made me an extraordinary, adventurous and non-judgemental person who concurrently lives for historical re-enactment as a way of life and focuses on what is important and what is not in life.

I can agree with that - best thing I've ever done.

Thank you, Alena. I'm glad that you understand as a fellow re-enactor.

Althout I do Daily Life reenactment and not military reenactment I agree with the sentiments that you are expressing.
